Glasgow Parkrun #187

“Slow down,slow down, PLEASE SLOW DOWN”. Semple we’ve told you………….Time to get some speed back after trying to get the miles in the legs in the last few week-ends. Finding myself at the old Parkrun again,the shouting had started,so it must have been all over then. Yes,it was, going far too fast down that end funnel.
Well,just happens that i was having a bit of a tussle with a lad on that penultimate hill,yes you know the one, said chap’s exhalations were even louder than mine. Hard to credit perhaps? So in his monumental effort to get by me(oh yes?)did he not realise that we still had that incline to go? Semple was off and running, if not racing for that tape that does not exist,merely a funnel,yes,yes. Actually, the said runner turned out to be……under interrogation that is, non other than an ex-westerlands member;one Sam Cohen. Before my time,says Semple,the Younger, that was still damn hard work.
