A lovely day for a drive to Strathpeffer for Knockfarrel Hill Race with Ali & Geoff from HBT.  It was a gorgeous sunny day & a good  turn out of over 50 runners.  I was the only Westie for this race (so lots of bonus points).  It was pretty muddy to start with before the 1st climb but once we were on the top it was lovely & warm, with lots of runnable bits followed by a section in the forest which seemed to go on a bit.  A few folk about along the way cheering us on. I just managed to keep just in front of a Tain runner by her taking the wrong route near the end & not following the flags, so I was pleased to finish & enjoyed the run.   The route was very well marked & marshalled & a great spread of sandwiches & cakes followed by prizegiving.  Joe Symonds was 1st male & Karen Lyons 1st Lady.
