Knockfarrel Hill Race

Results

A lovely day for a drive to Strathpeffer for Knockfarrel Hill Race with Ali & Geoff from HBT.  It was a gorgeous sunny day & a good  turn out of over 50 runners.  I was the only Westie for this race (so lots of bonus points).  It was pretty muddy to start with before the 1^st climb but once we were on the top it was lovely & warm, with lots of runnable bits followed by a section in the forest which seemed to go on a bit.  A few folk about along the way cheering us on. I just managed to keep just in front of a Tain runner by her taking the wrong route near the end & not following the flags, so I was pleased to finish & enjoyed the run.   The route was very well marked & marshalled & a great spread of sandwiches & cakes followed by prizegiving.  Joe Symonds was 1^st male & Karen Lyons 1^st Lady.
