Westies success at Goatfell.

A grand day out to Arran on Saturday saw Ronnie snatching the lead from Dave Cummins on the final road section, and Westies and taking the team prize with some strong competition from Arran Runners.

On the downside, Jane Robertson had a nasty fall and was helicoptered to hospital in Kilmarnock to get her knee patched up. Also Derek Bearhop finished the race, head bandaged and covered in blood. A great advertisement for hill racing!
