I feel as ladies captain I have to report on this race as Westies ladies won the day! My first hill race for at least two years and it felt great to be back. This was a cold day which turned to sleet at the top of Dumyat. A trail  started us off then we left it to go up hill but still a very runnable path. We then had only what you can call a mud slide down the bracken! and slide we all did mainly on our backsides! Then across to Dumyat top and back down the same way. We returned via a lower trail along the valley back to Menstrie. This lower trail was again lethal! Spikes I think would have made a big difference! Great fun!

Val Houston got first lady; I won first vet 40 and Gaynor got third vet 40! female domination for the Westies! Well done ladies.

JQ; Roderick; J Denovan; Hamilton; George all ran with excellent times. results will be on the website later.

A great race!
