Results

5 Westies welcomed the New Year with a muddy off-road parkrun, again using the field next to the Burrell for what was effectively a cross-country course. Chris did his usual ‘hare’ bit from the start, and finished second after Central AC junior Ross Milne put in a burst on the 4th one-kilometer lap. Clare Whitehead was the first lady home, and fifth overall. Next Westie was Ellie (16th), who aggravated her hamstring injury, but was still well clear of me (20th). Peter Grassl (29th) had been partying hard into the small hours but still managed a solid run, and Pauline’s run (54th) was easy compared to the logistics of getting her result recorded after forgetting her barcode.

101 ran, a good turnout for the day.
