Christmas Handicap 2019

On the traditional Saturday after Christmas a stalwart band of Westies braved the wet and wind to stage the annual fancy dress handicap race. The conditions were predictably challenging so only the connoisseurs of this classic event were persuaded out. The runners were outnumbered by the spectators and officials as Drew, Steffen, Kevin, John, Fiona, Shiella and Gibby all turned out in support.

The few other people who were out blowing the Christmas cobwebs away were rewarded by the sight of Santa, cowboy in shorts, reindeer, and hippies chasing each other through the mud.
