The weather could not have been any better for a run in the hills. There were four other Westies: John Hamer, Cameron Burt, Scott Mitchell and David Rogers. The first part of the race along the forest track was good warm up for what was waiting. As a first timer, I was really impressed when I reached the bottom of Beinn Each. What a hill!
Once up there, the route along the ridge to Stuc a’Chroin was just excellent. Very windy, beautiful views, and temperatures which reminded me of my Portugal summer holidays. The downhill part was less enjoyable, but I managed to keep going. The last bit along the forest track seemed to be endless. So, I just told myself that I had to run on it for another hour. What a pleasant surprise when I reached the finish much earlier.
After a drink in front of the hotel in the sunshine, we went back to Glasgow. An excellent day out.

1 Jim Davies, Borrowdale 2.17.54
17 Cameron Burt 2.47.50
48 Scott Mitchell 2.59.57
93 (or 92) Peter Grassl 3.28.00
115 John Hamer 3.45.51
The results show that David did not finish. I hope he is OK.

By the way, this has now been my 7th race of 7 without a drop of rain!
