Maddy Moss

Another gorgeous sunny day, another really scorching race and another superb Westies Ladies performance. The opposition are so sacred and in awe of the winning Westies women that they can’t even bring themselves to turn up!

It was a lovely sunny evening for Maddy Moss and, although it’s hard work with a never ending climb to Ben Cleuch (apparently a shock to the canal running legs of Roddy!), sporadic lung busting fast bits, the most awkward wee trod to run back along to the end and just when your legs are like jelly a near vertical plummet to the finish, it was a great run. Totally worth the effort for the prize jars of bison/grouse/venison/armadillo/yeti pate!!

For the men David R sped round to be 4th overall and the Westies men got 2nd team (I think). For the Ladies Helen P had a fine run to be 1st lady, I was 2nd, Pauline was 1st fV50 and, to top it all we were 1st ladies team, Katherine coming in as our 3rd counter – well done burdzz!!
