Haworth Hobble
Last weekend JD and I travelled down to the south Yorkshire Dales / Pennines for the Haworth Hobble. John has been doing it for years and I now know why. It is a stunning route over the hills and moors, popping into the odd village where you encounter winding lanes and steep cobbled steps – 32 miles of pure running pleasure!
On top of the lovely route it was a perfect day for running being cool but not cold and dry.
I had a good run, starting slow and building the pace throughout the run. This meant after the first 10 miles I spent the rest of the morning overtaking people. I finished in a little over 4 hours 50 minutes, and John in just over 6 hours.
I’d thoroughly recommend it to anyone next year, especially as we were both done in time to settle into a Yorkshire pub to watch the rugby while rehydrating and refuelling.
