Haweswater Half Marathon

A race too far.

After pulling out all the stops at the Masters Cross Country on Saturday, I had nothing left in the tank for Sunday.

A tough race in vile conditions. Strong headwind and almost continuously uphill on the way out. Torrential rain on the way back. Felt tired, washed out, and was running on empty for the last few miles. Could only manage 12th in 1:21:16.

Ellie had a great run to finish 9th lady in 1:33:27. The race was won by by Mike Scott of Border Harriers in 1:11:27.
