Downhill series

Where were all the Westies in the Downhill series ? Three races which finished last wednesday at Caerketton. I missed the first, the Nebit, because I was on holiday then did the last two races. The ever-young and gravitationally enhanced Don Reid did the first two and the only other Westie was Ally MacInnes who had a good run at Caerketton. C’mon you fast young turks, next year get into these races which are so very different from the usual hill race ……short and sharp ……less huff and puff and more technique ……tactics to try to arrange who you’re starting behind / ahead of….etc etc.  Come along and let old DR take some young scalps ….or assert your dominance over the old gits once again. Some of you moan that you lose places on the downhills ….e.g. Hamilton Simple and Georgie (Porgie) Douglas…..so get practicing…..you know it makes sense.
