BMAF Cross Country, Tollcross Park
The British Masters Cross Country rolled into Tollcross Park on Saturday.
A small smattering of Westies turned up: myself, Grim, Gibby, Shiela, Pat, Pauline (now Teviotdale) and Sharon. Strangely enough, I was the only Westie running in the men’s 35 to 64 race. After watching the women’s/M65+ 6km race, I got organised and started as slowly as possible, thinking I could pick people off the whole way. This is pretty much what I dd, although I also got boxed in here and there. All in all it was a good course, with gentle hills, perfect running surface, and dry socks after finishing for the first time since Hamilton Racecourse.
