Late starting but this was a blessing for some who were nursing hangovers! At about 11.10 we started the new year by blasting up towards the cable station. The conditions were perfect. Ok it was cold but the ground was firm and no ice on the trail so a good grip as we ascended. There were less runners than last year it seemed and felt like a faster pace which was confirmed with my faster time this year. A really fun race but a good work out on the lungs!Manny did the Westies proud with getting 3rd Vet Male (hope that is right Manny!) his better half Brenda did well too and I managed a PB! I recommend it for a sharp awakening into the new year.
