What can be said about the Kilpatricks Kaper 2019?
It was a beautiful summer’s evening; golden sunshine and breeze to keep the midges at bay.
94 runners went up the hill and 94 runners came down again.
The marshalling team were ace; so professional that I was happy to spend most of the race reclining in hammock watching the runners come in.
Everyone seemed to enjoy the new route, now with 50% less tarmac!
There were some strong performances from Westies, with Ella, Lucinda & Tom all managing podium places. Davie Atkin scooped the V60 title, but the d**khead organiser gave his prize to someone else by mistake.
Thanks to everyone who came out to marshal, watch or run – what a great night!
