Cioch mor hill race

I did this hill race on saturday the only Westie present. It started at Tulloch castle on the outskirts of Dingwall. It had a feel of an oldfashioned X_C with five or six barbed wire fences to climb over two crossings of a fast flowing burn which came half way up your running shorts, add in a lot of tussocky grass and deep mud as well as qite a lot of snow higher up the hill.the race was won by Gordon lennox / forres Harriers iws second V70 (out of two) but no disgrace really as the V70 winner was Raymond  Wilby who the last time i raced him at the World masters in Keswick in 2005 was  the V60 champion. The post race food was on a par with the puvey at the Birnam race. This was  a lovely friendly local race well worth doing.
