The Brack is attacked!

An intimidating forecast didn’t stop record numbers (25 starters) turning out for this year’s Brack race. Westies made up a large contingent of this cohort with 11 hardy souls embarking on the wet and windy wilds of Arrochar. The gazebo for registration lasted about 10 minutes before being blown about kite-like, so runners queued up

New Race – The Brack

Grand day out in the North (of Ireland)

Just thought I’d write a note to all you Ultra distance monkeys out there about a great race I did in N.Ireland on the weekend. It’s called the Causeway coast Ultra and, predictably follows the coastline around the Giant’s Causeway. It’s 40 miles and only mildly undulating with a couple of interesting sections where sea

Possible new race?

How do I go about getting a new race into the SHR calendar? I have an idea for a run, which i think would make rather a good ‘off season’ winter race. It’s basically a combination of the two routes i occasionally run into work and so takes the easiest routes through the hills without
