I think James just wanted to display his impeccable manners and excellent running form to the hoi polloi of Scottish hill running. I saw him pushing his way through the wall with such earnest apologies that nobody seemed in the slightest bit annoyed and at least 90% of runners will have had the pleasure seeing him bound up the hill. I think James should start more races late and give us all a treat.

The question that was going through my mind, the question that, frankly, is more deserving of an answer is:
