Transylvanian Bear Race
Phew …couple of weeks ago ma girl Katie and myself went out to run the Transylvanian Bear Race over in Romania.
In contrast to the increasingly busy and over managed ultra scene that seems in to be in online freefall here in the UK, it was brilliant to enjoy a low key, simple adventure run through some of the most beautiful scenery I’ve seen. Logisitics were simple with the race organisers looking after much of the difficult stuff once you were over there.
Romania is stunning and the folks super friendly. A mix of Saxon villages that haven’t changed in probably forever and some post communist era development and hope.
Mibee the lazy option, but Katie describes it far better than me …
