Westies sent down a fleet of top athletes On Saturday in an attempt to steal the team prize from Shettleston and Carnethy. However unknown to us these teams also sent down their best runners too. Here is my account of an eventful day at East Kilbride. Got the East Kilbride Train at 12.42pm running each hour apparently and arrived at East Kilbride at 1.17pm. This was to be the last race for me before my long rest for September. The conditions were drizzly with high winds which were felt during the drive up to Kyle of Lochalsh. This year there were around 90 runners which broke last years record and taking of records well, wait for it. Alan planned
Before I even begin typing the report, no this is not a Chris Upson epidemic of races flooding in. I got to the registration with only 10 min to spare and then did the usual warmup. It was a good field of runners with pretty much the best of the west coast on show ready
