McAndrew Relays

Who said that the hills were tougher than the roads? Saturday’s McAndrews Relays took much more out of me than todays hill race!

The McAndrews is a lovely 5k loop round the streets of Jordanhill – 4 laps for the guys and 3 for the gals. With a new start point this year we got the climbs out of the way early on leaving a flat, fast finish – too flat and fast for me as I haemorrhaged places to the young, fast guys.

Our 2 guys teams were made up of Gregor/me/Roddy/Chris and JQ/Don/Dave/Gregor, and Ellie/Jo/Cat for the gals. We all had strong runs, enjoying the warm autumn sunshine.
