Rob Jebb won by 8 minutes from Ian Holmes and Jethro Lennox, to finish in 3:07:49, just missing Mark Rigby’s 1994 record by 50 seconds. Angela Mudge had an incredible run to knock a further 5 minutes off her own 2003 record, and finished 7th overall in 3:40:33.

I felt completely washed out after last week’s Island Peaks Race and struggled round in 4:04:11, having more or less given up on the final climb to Corra-bheinn. David Riach had a storming run to claim his first sub 4 hour whisky glass, and left me for dead on the climb up the 2nd Pap.

Ellie managed 4:42:25 to knock almost 30 minutes off last year’s time, and finished as 7th woman.
