Ecos Parkrun #35, 29th Dec 2012

Results

While I was home for the holiday season, I made it along to my local Parkrun.  Pretty impressed that in a town of not much more than 30,000 that a parkrun exists.  

It was a friendly affair with a few old gaelic football club teammates running, one time keeping, couple old school friends and one of my cousin’s all taking part.

The race itself, I started off slow and sat 3rd for the 1st km to suss out the competition, moved into 2nd for the 2km and then took the lead and pushed it out what I could to the end.  Crossed the line in a modest 18:25 but for all the Christmas excess I was happy enough with the time.

Hopefully make it along to a parkrun in Glasgow during January with getting under 18 minutes my aim.
