Carnethy 5

Snow snow snow …. For my first Carnethy 5. Times were apparently down on the last years as the heavy conditions made things hard going. 15 min if you believe the Carnethy site ;-) (That’s a fiver you owe me Andy) Great wee race though and I now understand why it is so popular.

Managed to have a good tussle with defected Westie Jason with him catching me on the climbs and me passing him on the descents. Fortunately for me the race ended on a descent. I was too out of breath / out of control to speak to any of the other Westies on the way round but a special thanks must go to Drew for his words of encouragement through the bog. Nearly got a couple of Carnethy scalps on the line but there was too many of them hinging about the finish line for an effective sneak up.
