Calderglen Downpour Dash

Yes, it was supposed to be the Calderglen Handicap, but by common consent we turned it into a more "normal" race, due to the monsoon like conditions. I had laid out lots of blobs of flour half an hour before in only light rain, but the heavens opened up big style as all the Westies started to arrive. Despite the flour markings having been washed away, about a dozen of us made it round the 4.72 mile loop. James romped home first to earn his prize jelly babies and we all enjoyed some drink and chat after at the New Farm. Thanks to Don, Drew and his team and to all who made the effort to get there.
