Balloch to Clydebank Half Marathon

Well if the rumours are true and this is going to possibly be the last running of this great race, then at least it went out with a bang weatherwise! Basically perfect running conditions of cool and crisp, dry sunny weather. From a marshal / spectator point of view, I had good fun ‘supervising’ three lads from the Tullachan (sp?) Trust, dishing out bottles of water at the ten mile mark in Old Kilpatrick. The van offloading the water only turned up five minutes in front of the lead runners so me and my old maw had a bit of a frantic job cutting open crates and opening bottles for the boys to hand out. Managed it just in time and even got to snap the 3 Westie participants running through and socialite/2nd claimer Del Piero in the old blue and yellow. Plenty of other Westies out marshalling who no doubt Dave will mention in his report and should be interesting to see how the final Winter League points tally up with both Drew and Don being out today!
