18th June Buckden Pike AS 3.7 miles and 1594 feet of ascent My original plan had been to travel down and back to the Yorkshire Dales on the day with two fellow Westies but work commitments and covid meant neither of them made it. However Lynn decided the delights of Buckden show, Fish and Chips

After successfully completing Manor Water the day before (I might have mentioned to the odd Westie I was doing the Man or mouse) , Rob and I piloted my chariot in the direction of Hillend. It was great to see Plenty of other Westies in Attendance with some of the younger team having done battle
Whilst the bulk of the Westies headed for Milngavie and and an Orienteering extravaganza, the trial fiends headed for Callander. After the near debacle of Saturday at Killie and numbers being pinned on just in time I commanded messrs Fullwood and Coyle to be at Partick for 5:30pm sharp! The traffic was predictably heavy coming
