35 Westies ran the Carnethy 5 last week… http://carnethy.com/2015/02/carnethy-5-results/
Results There was a scattering of Westies at the Forfar Multi-terain Half this morning. No golden vests on show though as the bitting wind meant I kept my soft-shell on. Brian, being a local, was running in the sky-blue of Forfar Road Runners. And Jo was with her south side / triathlon mates, which was

All results and splits So that is it for the hill relays in 2014. The Westies select enjoyed a very windy, mostly dry day in Cumbria. Steph and I travelled down on Saturday and enjoyed a bargain night in a hotel only 20 minutes from the start. So I pitched up with a
John and I travelled up to Kinlochewe to do the Bealach Mor sportive on Saturday. I can’t say we were that up for it as we rolled out towards Achnasheen in torrential rain. Though thankfully it was a warm day and after 20 miles the skies cleared. We had a lot of fun working hard
I’d have liked to have done the Westies duathlon this year but had already signed up for the Tour of the Borders Sportive. It was the first time I’d been out on my bike since my cycling in the Pyrenees nearly 2 months ago so was a little apprehensive as to how I’d cope.

I’m just back from an amazing day. Yes, it was mostly raining today, and yes, it was blowing a hoolie, but when has that ever stopped Westies having a blast! 4 Westies congregated in Symington to the ‘More Passed Than Mastermind’ Audax – a 200km cycle journey that criss crossed the Lowter Hills before
… And JD Joins the Journey. This is the title JD came up with after our Saturday run which started and finished at a pub, visited 4 pubs along the way, and included a flask of whisky mac and a Sigg bottle of sloe gin to boot! We both travelled through to Edinburgh
Now the Pentland Skyline is behind us the Long Classics Series is complete. It was won by Al Anthony (Ochils) and Charlotte Morgan (Carnethy). Westerlands were once again very well represented with 7 completing the series (only Carnethy had more representation) so well done to Luke, Gregor, Steffen, John H, Murdo and George (and me)!
