New race last Thursday at Tarland in Deeside organised by Deeside. Long way to go for a race but I used to live not far from there so suspected would be a good route and it was…..9k and 450m of climb..A few hundred metres of road at the start then a series of narrow dry paths
Surprised to be the only Westie at this great wee race yesterday…..a classic short, sharp up and down race from Falkland ascending East Lomond…..the race starts and finishes at the fountain in the Main Street and coincided with a local gala which meant Falkland was in even worse traffic chaos than for the Burdens….around 50
Results First race of the Westies Summer league was on saturday up at Clachnaben and only two Westies took part, both BBs but one enhanced the reputation of our fine club while the other, myself, managed to complete the race.
