Curry Nights

The long-standing club tradition of the curry night takes place on the first Wednesday of each month, after the club run. The May curry night is on Wed 4 May.

Extravaganzas

These are club relay events, with teams competing against each other to complete a long distance route, not forgetting the all-important party afterwards!

The 2012 extravaganza was the Hadrian's Wall Relay on 31st March, staying at the hostel at Greenhead in Northumberland.

2011's Westies Extravaganza was a multi-terrain running tour of the Campsies.

Previous Extravaganzas include the Cateran Trail in 2010, the Skye Line in appalling weather in 2009, and the Rob Roy Way in 2008.

Loch Ossian Weekend - Early November

The next Loch Ossian weekend is on Fri 9th & Sat 10th November 2012. Please contact the Social Secretary, Fiona Hutchinson, to reserve your place.

Loch Ossian Youth Hostel is one of the remotest habitations in the country, accessible only by foot from Corrour railway station. Surrounded by wild remote scenery, the hostel provides an ideal opportunity to escape the rigours of everyday life.

Grudge Matches

The most recent Westies vs HBT Grudge Match was at Swanston near Edinburgh on 27th November 2011. Prior to that it was an out and back to King's Seat summit from Tillicoultry on Sunday 21st November 2010.
