COCHNO HILL RUN
On a lovely bright,if breezy, evening there was a great turnout of Westies for the first hill run of the year that didn't require headtorches. We had a couple of newcomers and even ex-Captain Charlie was out, somehow getting to the top before us all. Rumours of a helicopter assisted climb and gravity aided descent still persist. We all felt so energised by the good evening that we added The Slacks on to the run as well to make it approx. an hour. Let's see an equally good turnout next week for the Cort Ma Law & Leckett run (GPS, Sat Nav phone and night vision goggles recommended), followed by the Westies Curry Night - venue to be confirmed.

No helicopter, just a 20 minute head start on you lot did the trick, but an inbuilt 4st gravity belt did help with the descent right enough. Twenty of us enjoying a cracking evening!

It seemed a shame to stop ...especially as it was still light (and we could see where we were going etc ....)

Sorry the run was a bit short, and not the usual in the dark epic...More photos here

Forgot to say that for most of us the highlight of the night was the linking hands and dancing around Cat, singing Happy Birthday, at the summit of Cochno. Hope she enjoyed her 21st (again) :-)
ps and after her b/day present from JD at Esquire, she'll now be showing off her Buff at an event near you. (Can't wait! )
