Criffel
1991
In the beginning there was primordial swamps, although this has largely disappeared from the face of the planet some still survives above 36000 feet on Criffel. Today was a 7 mile waist deep wade through peat bog. Very uplifting, the thick fog meant that for most of the race you had no idea where you were. I put Helene Thunderthighs Diamantides off on the descent by having an asthmatic wheeze which sounded quite orgasmic.
