SHOCK NEWS!!!!!!

STOP PRESS....BRIAN BRENNAN RUNS IN HILL RACE!!!!!

The word on the street is that the previously thought retired Brennan has been spotted in race results for Cairn Willliam in deepest Aberdeenshire, coming 30th from 39 in a time of 1:06:52 to confound his critics and perhaps plant a seed of doubt in the heads of those who deemed him to be dead.

Sources near to the elusive Brennan are trying to get a more detailed report on this dramatic comeback in the athletics world and who knows, perhaps the man himself will produce a tears for sweat account of his his battle on Cairn William

I can confirm running in the race at Cairn William .......and even worse news .....you will be seeing a lot more of me at races from now on ......though only if you look back over your shoulder ......or lie injured along the route somewhere.Basically the combination of working away from home in London/Europe every week for the last 13 years, plus a move of home base to Kenmore, plus completing the munros and Corbetts has taken a toll in my race participation. But with the climb of my last Corbett coming up on October 22nd which is just before my 50th birthday I'm going to start racing as a super-vet ......I basically did Cairn William to remind myself of just how bloody hard it was.

See you all at races from now on .......although given my location not likely to take part in cross-country races ......long way to go for 4 miles or so.
