WED NIGHT KILPATRICKS RUN
Ten Westies turned up for a social saunter round a mixture of the "old" and the "new" KIlpatricks Hill Race route. We managed to wind our way up the first ridge without going too far off track and then enjoyed fine, very dry underfoot, running round to the trig point at Duncolm where there were fine views of Loch Lomond, the Whangie and Dumgoyne. On the way back we visited the Benny Mamorial Fence Stump and marvelled at the blood and cartilage that adorned it. After that a sharp wee pull up to the Slacks for the final descent, where Dave tried to lead the girls down a suicidal cliff face before yours truly at the last minute guided them off safely. No curry and no pub afterwards this week.

BMFS no more! When I should have been battering down the Glamaig screes I was in altruistic mode, protecting fellow runners from the Greenside evil by battering lumps out of the fence remains. There turned out to be two of the horrors - the first one to trip you, the second to impale ...For the sake of nostalgia (dear to all old Westies) I've added a photo of the beast in its final five minutes of existence.
