The Inagural Hunters Bog Trot
1988
An auspicious event. So much so that Campbell turned up in good suit, a la press conference, and tie .. what next? Dinner jacket and bow tie for Cort-ma Law? He didn't even deign to travel with us, preferring to travel British Rail, first or second class? What else can we say about the race? Four hard miles around Salsbury Crags, plenty of spot prizes, the lucky ones got cans of Fosters, how come I got two joke blood capsules and an exploding cigarette? Frankly I would have rather've have had the Woopee Cushion. Andy Brown obviously back in form despite the weight penalty of six pairs of y's and a bin bag round his groin.
