INVERGARRY WEEKEND AWAY
Invergarry Hostel proved a great choice for a new venue and area this year, and the weather was fantastic too to top it all off. On sat myself, Nigel, Steffen and ultra-runner Dave managed all 9 Munros on the South Glen Shiel ridge in 8 hours of glorious sunshine, while others were up the Sisters and Brothers on the north ridge. Various others bagged Munros in Loch Quoich and Corbetts in Glendessary. It was a tired but happy bunch who sat down to a great communal meal, with some super cooking and baking on display. Tha inaugural Westies quiz rounded off the evening in fine style and in a close finish the Calder's All Stars team triumphed. Sunday brought more glorious weather and some headed to Glen Affric for a Duathlon while others were off up the hills for more Corbetts and Munros. Another great Westies weekend, and a big thank you to everyone involved for making it so. See you at loch Ossian in November.
