Toronto 8k - 2 April 2005
After a week of t-shirt and shorts weather in Toronto, Saturday's race took place in cold, windy conditions with rain, sleet and snow. There was no changing facilities or shelter other than the park itself so it wasn't the easiest of days out. The race was led by some of Canada's best and new immigrant recruits from Kenya and the like. I managed to scrape a not very distinguished 29min+ time for 39th place - total field about 1200. Couldn't tie my shoelaces afterwards (forgot gloves) and face was to numb to talk properly - I did however manage another sub-30 time to the tube station and "home" to a hot shower ... see you all in the week.
