1985 Mr Campbells ample rear wasn't in evidence this week, it was probably esconced on some chair. Mr Calder provided Westerlands' inspiration this week, definitely of pedigree stock, the weather was very cold and wet with some sleet during the race.

The real runners, i.e. the head-bangers and masochists seem to have stayed away from this race despite its obvious suitability for them, it started half under water on a boggy track, continued into the wind and snow via several roundabouts back to the track, quite frankly it was bloody chucking awful. When the participants got back to the changing place they were given super-k and low salt to help them chunder. Wellings was worse than last year by maybe a minute. Go to EK and eccckkk.
