All for Nun and Nun for All as Westies Display Dirty Habits

Some people will do just about anything to get Westies Winter League points...and if that means dressing up, then so be it. 4 Westies turned out at The Dash dressed as nuns, although modesty and the threat of excommunication prevents us from printing the names of those involved. Mind you, a quick scroll through the Winter League details would reveal about as much as the short black frocks worn by some of our participants of the fairer sex! Prize for most authentic outfit surely must go to Dave, whose leg hairs were sticking through his black tights in true convent tradition!

Onto the race, where Chris showed some return to form as 1st Westies in 18th position. An excellent descent from Blair saw him overhauling Gibbie despite reaching the summit over a minute behind. Gibbie still managed to take the V60 prize. Murdo was next after Gibbie, whilst Dave complained that his downhill was adversely affected by the drag!!

Muffy was 1st woman home feeling just a little bit Mother Superior particularly when she received the 3rd vets prize. She finished just ahead of Sister Ana, who showed no ill-effects from surrendering her life to the fate of The Good Shepherd 2 days previously at Aonach Mor. No mercy was shown either by Sister Liz who followed closely behind, ahead of Drew, Graham and a fine run from Novice Rosie. The women finished as 3rd team, narrowly trailing Carnethy by only 2 points. All-in-all a great turnout of 11 runners. Thanks also to Margaret for assisting with the results.
