Summer League Update

The guys league now looks like it's wrapped up with Chris cruising round the Breweries knowing that Ronnnies no-show leaves him in an almost untouchable position 17 points clear of Don, who with his customised lace-wrapped gutties moved into 2nd spot, even with a honking run!!

I took full points for the first time this season(and probably last!), giving the familiarly imploded Rodwell a good humping over the last 5 miles - and he was lucky that Chris (being a bit laid back) didn't run him down(no pun intended Damon!) at the finish to!

Run of the day was Steffan with cracking time a big smile and 17 points, but probably now rueing those missed races earlier in the season?!

We now wait and see if Chris breaks a leg at the Pentlands and if the Don can produce better times to hold on to 2nd from RG only 5 points behind??

The wummin are starting to turn up the heat with the end of the league in sight, although the excitement is now laced with controversy after some real dodgy time keeping forced Pat out of the Breweries and real contention for the winners podium.

I would have loved to have heard what was said!!!!

Both Ana and Elsie are now left to slug it out and with Elsie having only a narrow 3 min lead at the 2B's, the Pentlands should be hard going for those vital extra points.

The story might not finish there with the last race being a very fast short blast up Tinto, so it's anyones guess where the rest of the wummin might come to interupt and confuse the points on the final day.

Tip for next season - newcomer Sarah Kleeman.

Sarah only got roped into the 2B's on the Wednesday night run before the race, but cleaned up the max points with no particular training or reccie before hand!

Watch yer backs girlies, it's not just me chasing you now!
