Grudge Match 1990
1990
Before starting my analysis of the day's proceedings I hae a few corrections to make regarding inaccurate statements contained in the last few race reports. First of all my sister has not given birth to a bath, but she claims never to have farted in the bath. In fact she says she has never farted in her whole life. The story contained in the Kirkie RR report is misleading. Any story about my brothers fiance is a different matter though.
Secondly it is also incorrect to say that Farage almost outsprinted me in the WD Champs, in actual fact the following should be noted:
1.I was 50 yards behind Farage and Sandy with 400 yards to go. If I was 2 seconds ahead of him at the end how come he almost outsprinted me?
2.If farage (probably the fastest guy in the club) can't outsprint me what shame have the rest of you.
3.It was superb that day.
Anyway on with today's events. My run was extremely poor due to the fact that I'd been running round the trail laying markers for 2½ hours previously. I would have been at least 5 minutes faster otherwise (boasting). Enough of these ramblings, who won? ... Westies!! Thanks to those magnificent ladies in their lycra tights, the only way they can hold the old bums together.
The run, very interesting but on reflection too much road and other easy running which seemed to suit traitor O'Kane. Roll om the Nationals, A Camerons scalp must be itching. Good course, except for the bad bits on the hard stuff. Do not let Calder or his relations use your bath 'cause we all know that if you don't fart correctly in the bath it causes terrible problems.
Isabel claimed she is good at putting weight on people!!
