Saltcoats 4.5m Race
Before I even begin typing the report, no this is not a Chris Upson epidemic of races flooding in.
I got to the registration with only 10 min to spare and then did the usual warmup.
It was a good field of runners with pretty much the best of the west coast on show ready to do their stuff. Charlie from Cambuslang was there and so was Tommy Hearle who battled it out for the 20min something on the line. I lost touch with the leading group and I guess the Crieff 10k was still in me on the final mile along the windy seafront. Managed to get 11th position in 23.38min. The new Mizuno Racers are really good, very pleased with them.
I will do a long 10 mile run tommorrow morning before work and then rest up for the Arran Relay. In the mist and there it was, Arran from the coast...Roll on Saturday....
