I Canny Wait.....Upcoming Winter League Races

For those lesser mortals amongst us who can only dream of racing as frequently as Marcus or winning such coveted awards as Chris, there is always the slightly less ambitious target of 3 races on consecutive weekends, all of which count towards the Winter League. The first of these is the Hugh Wilson 10K at East Kilbride on Sat. 22nd November, starting at 14:00. Changing is at St Brides High School and the race starts at the John Wright Sports Centre .

Rumour has it that Steffen, Blair and Don all reckon they can hump Charlie and I at this race, so let's see them putting their money where their mouth is. With Westies-round-Loch-Ossian-Record-Holder Mark and Nige both swithering about competing, this could be a real needle match. What we also need are a few women to add to the thrills.

On the 29th, we have the Dunbartonshire Cross Country Champs at Posties Park, Dumbarton. Men run 6miles and women 4. Entries for this on the day. More details to follow.

The following week on Saturday 6th December is the National Cross Country Relays at Cumbernauld. We have 2 womens and 2 men's teams entered.

There you have it. An exciting 15 days of sweaty competition ahead. What are you waiting for? Just do it!
