What a load of Cobblers
Well, The Cobbler that is, upon Marc McColl's kind invitation. In fact who could resist an invitation to run "from the base to the top", especially when qualified with the additional comments "when I say base I mean 2m above sea level on the OS map". Yes, well, quite, that settles that then - I thought we would start half way up and just kinda amble around a bit.
So if this is winter hill training I need to subscribe to Glasgow Tiddlywinks Club - unholy cold and wet predawn hours are not a preferred option. Anyhow, it turned out to be a good run through slightly river like ground conditions. Much of the path is however now graded, but the first and final sections are still on steep and oh so slippy rocks.
All done and dusted in time for a return to a normal working day in Glasga. Cheers Mr McColl, can't wait for the next "base to top" hill run ... honest.
8-)
