Golf Slope

After JD contrived to alter the pre-arranged club run (again!), we saw a split in the ranks last night, with Westerlands Running Club deciding to do their own thing ... and fair enough too, it's a free world!

The rest of the club continued on their run ... well to a certain extent they did! In fact a brand new club run was inadvertantly born last night as a result of following the aforementioned WRC out of Garscube the wrong way, thus taking the wrong route for the originally planned Ski Slope run! So we creatively followed a perpetually undulating 8.5 miler, up Rannoch Drive, through the Golf Course and then up a brand new path (well, new to Westies anyway) next to McDonalds Fine Cuisine on Milngavie Road, which took us out somewhere near Baljaffray. From there we were able to negotiate a safe passage through to the ski slope path and back into familiar territory in Bearsden. From there we climbed Mount Pendicle and followed the road back round to the Switchback. All at a mighty pace too!
