Glamaig

8th July

For those of you who missed Glamaig this year (I know many were helping Charlie) it was an excellent weekend. The race conditions were pretty good - cool with some light mist on top and the moor was not as soft as normal.

Some good running from Westies but not quite good enough to lift the team prize which went to C*rn*thy. Mark had a good second place, followed closely by Ronnie for 1st Vet, and Christine was 1st women's vet.

The Wild West Ceilidh Band provided excellent entertainment in the evening although the dancing did get a bit dangerous when Dick Wall took to the floor. (Overheard on the uphill: "What do you shout if a stone comes down the hill?"; " Below!"; "What do you shout if 17 stones come down the hill?"; "Dick Wall!". Nothing personal Dick, it was one of them Cosmics.)
