In The Dark Handicap Race

There was a great turnout of @20 Westies last night. Despite dire weather forecasts it wasn't actually that bad. John Hutchinson's protests of lack of fitness duped the handicapper and he strolled to victory and his bottle of "Champion" beer, well done. Helen wasn't too far behind followed by Matt.
David Riach flew in from Aus for a special appearance, and Owen arrived a bit late , having cycled out from Glasgow.
Thanks to Drew, Margaret and Elsie for helping out and all who turned out.

Just like to say a big congrats to Drew for hitting the fine old age of 70. your looking good mate! Thanks for your help on Wed night, a great laugh as always.
I definitely approve of the use of head torches, you can tell if people are looking back at you when skelping down the Crow road - i'm sure JQ would agree!!

Great fun and really good turnout for the run and curry. Nice to see David back briefly from down under.
Congrats to Drew on the big Seven O.
The run in from the post box at lennoxtown to Clachan was torture. My legs and lungs were at breaking point on the home straight and I have a sore neck from looking back to see where Don was. Head torch and mirror next year
Almost caught John Hamer but he found an impressive sprint finish from somewhere.
    Well done everyone.
