DAAA CC RELAYS
8 Westies made up 2 x 4 mens teams and 1 x 3 ladies team at the Duchess Woods Helensburgh on Saturday.
Pat Helen and Jo ran a strong 3 leg womens race in pretty muddy conditions and 5 guys JD2, Don, Tom Smith, Alistair Duke and myself managing an A & B team with 3 of us running twice. Tom Smith ran 2 sub 15 legs 1 for the A and 1 for the B team with Alistair running a sub 17 2nd leg and sub 16 4th leg for the B team. Don seems back to his best with a 16.25 leg a big improvement on his Drumpellier run and on a hillier course
Great prep for the national relays at Cumbernauld next week.

Well done! It's just as well Don turned up, or else the A and B teams would have been exactly the same!

A big thanks to John for organising the teams. I just turned up in my sleep deprived state and ran. I can recommend Oscar for a pre race warm up - once he starts running , you just have to go with him!! Unlike John at Drumpellier, i managed to avoid the dog poo.
A very enjoyable afternoon on a great wee course.
