Ochils 2000
It was a near perfect day for the Ochils 2000. There isn't much need for me to write a race report as Chris has documented my race very well in his blog...

It was the boggy, tussocky hell between Blairdenon Hill and Dumyat that did me in - at one point I was rolling around in the middle of it trying to get the cramp out of my legs. After walking off the cramp I started working back through the field, helped immensly by the juice my (sorry, Chris') support crew offered - thanks Ellie, would have struggled even more without it!
There was a great turnout from Westies - I'll look forward to hearing the stories from the route as I didn't manage to catch up with anyone afterwards.

I loved this race and I was quite pleased that I was only 1-2 mins behind you and Chris until I suffered a similar fate to you after Blairdenon. I kept dragging my feet, stumbling, hitting the deck and the springing into cramp. In my stupor I lost my way and my poor choice of route cost me a good 10 mins with extra climb which meant I lost numerous places. Climbing Dumyat completely exhausted me but I too benefitted from Chris' drink which was a life-saver, giving me enough refreshment to trot to the finish. Well done Westies, a great day out.
