Where have all the Westies gone?
Since being loaded back into my coffin at the Law Breaker I've done 3 races around the country, all with good points, but no other Westies .....r u all on holiday? White Tops - great race with new improved route with more climb and less track. Only 2 days after my nadir at Tillicoultry and i had a much improved run followed by an excellent spread provided by the organising club. Gairloch - Long way to go for a very short race at this Highland Gathering but well organised and an interesting wee route although not much hill. Alva Games Hill Race - an absolute classic little race .....the 155th running of it .....500m of flat then straight up probably the steepest slope in racing, turn at top then try, and fail, to not fall on the way down .....reminiscent of the slope at end of Lomonds of Fife race.....brilliant

Aye, you were spotted on the way to Gairloch Mr B. You went whizzing north past a fleet of buses humfing me and a few others to flog our way over the Corrie Challenge. Great event, not so great result. Also a long overdue return, and PB I think, to Glamaig was entertaining on Saturday, and a great party afterwards. One of the best races in Britain.
