Simon Triger Dumgoyne Handicap

Results | Activity on Garmin

Unseasonally cold and soggy conditions did nothing to dampen the spirits of 12 Westies who braved the freezing rain and mud to enjoy a wonderful run up Dumgoyne.

First timers Eleanor, Caroline and Ben all seemed to enjoy themselves, despite Ben taking a longer route on the way out and back.

John Hamer improved massively on previous times to be first runner back, and was therefore awarded the prestigious Simon Triger Memorial Trophy.

Thanks again to the ever-reliable Margaret and Drew, who made the event possible with their handicapping and time keeping.

Really sorry to have missed this - was so keen to run but sadly other stuff conspired against me - in the end did hill reps on a pimple in the peak - thoughts at Dumgoyne!!

Val selected a particularly large boulder too - still proceeded to run rings around me - oh the joys of four legs!!

Was lovely to see you all on Wednesday at my favourite hill. I'm just sorry the weather wasn't behaving. I have some very blurry photos if anyone fancies them...

Simon's Mother was very sorry not to be there and would like to pass on her thanks to the Westies for their support in remembering Simon in the best way possible.
